Poured-in-place Rubber Safety Surfacing originated over 70 year ago in France and Germany, where it was developed for the athletic and equestrian markets. Almost 30 years ago safety surfacing became available in North America and has changed the landscape of Canada. Safer and more durable than sand or wood chips for playgrounds, it has been specified as the Ontario Safety Surface for all government splash pads and playgrounds.

Over the years the formula has improved and, after numerous residential and commercial projects has developed into the product we use today. Safety surfacing has been installed in a number of countries around the world including the USA, Canada, the UK, Australia, Spain, France, Barbados, the Bahamas, Israel and Saudi Arabia. Clients include luxury hotels and resorts, championship golf courses, prestigious sports and health facilities as well as many more.

Amir Shami and Samuel McChesney formed the company Premier Custom Surfacing Inc. after many years in the commercial construction field. With a focused dedication on quality and customer service Premier Custom Surfacing Inc. has grown to serve the commercial and residential markets of Southern Ontario.
